The Pan Deï Palais – the revival of an iconic hotel that reflects its Mediterranean history

In the heart of the village of Saint Tropez, sits Pan Deï Palais, in a unique setting, built out of love for the Indian princess of the same name. Today, the same aesthetic has been reinterpreted by interior decorator Christophe Tollemer. It reopens on June 25th, with a sleek design and a new high-end Italian catering concept. The ambiance is reminiscent of the surrounding Mediterranean – light and bucolic. The ideal place to get away from it all, Pan Deï Palais remains a Saint Tropez jewel in the Airelles crown.

New and more beautiful than ever

Clean lines, high-quality materials and Eastern prints – a new house will be uncovered behind this iconic ochre facade. From Pan Deï Palais lobby onwards, the decor is refined but also contemporary. Filled with rich materials such as oak, flannel, leather and embroidery, Pan Deï Palais’s embellishment is an important part of the decor. The sense of the exotic is subtle but important, transporting you to another time and place.

Outside, guests can immerse themselves in the Mediterranean again, in the lush garden filled with olive trees. The furniture reinforces the feeling of tranquillity, with its softness, its materials and its contours. At the edge of the swimming pool, dining areas have been set up with sun loungers, ensuring you enjoy all the fresh air of Saint-Tropez . A large relaxation area stretches out towards the property walls and – infusing it with the holiday spirit – a palm tree continues to watch over this Eden of Saint Tropez, a vintage tradition of the area.

The beauty of an Italian restaurant

Once located just nearby on Rue des Feniers, the Dolceva restaurant has now moved to a special place inside the property. Its interior architecture echoes that of the reception, including even the precious ‘Versailles’ parquet in solid oak. Comfort is further enriched by two stone fireplaces from the 16th century, the last amenity from when the hotel was open all year round. In the kitchen, Chef Gianluca Manzo gives the Palais a southern accent with a menu overseen by Marco Garfagnini. Over the years he has become famous for his ability to make Italian Cuisine in harmony with the Mediterranean environment. It is the ideal Saint-Tropez atmosphere to savour the Italian classics in, including antipasti, seafood and delicious sharing dishes. In the evening, Dolceva throws open its terrace doors to the outside.
