A mellow Provençal lifestyle

Celebrate the art of living in Provence on a stay at La Bastide, discovering its sunny landscapes, fragrant vineyards, villages with narrow cobbled streets, and the chirping of cicadas!

For adventurers

Discover Provence in a new way thanks to unique experiences dreamt up by the team of Concierges at La Bastide, such as a flight in a hot-air balloon to admire the beauty of the Luberon from the sky. The more energetic will appreciate activities including “accrobranche” (woodland challenges), canoing/kayaking, Fatbikes, golf and Segways, while foodies will adore exploring the vineyards on e-bikes with wine-tastings on the programme, and market-days in nearby villages to treat themselves to fresh local produce. Everyone, however, will enjoy visiting the Fontaine-deVaucluse, the ruins of the Marquis de Sade’s Château in Lacoste, the ochre quarries in Roussillon, or Ménerbes and L’Isle-sur-laSorgue, known as “La Venise Comtadine”.

Relaxation and letting go

After a day of discoveries, take time off for yourself at the Spa de La Bastide and benefit from an outdoor Phyto-Aromatic treatment by the prestigious Maison Sisley, in one of the cabins with private terraces offering views of the valley of the Luberon. To care for your mind and soul, La Bastide also organizes Saturday yoga sessions throughout the summer in the hotel gardens.

Family time

With its vast activity programme dedicated to children at the Airelles Summer Camp, La Bastide spoils the entire family, guaranteeing a good rest for parents, entertainment for kids. Magician’s shows, treasure hunts, pastry workshops, but also outdoor movie screenings…, everything has been designed for unforgettable holidays for children and teenagers. To liven up your summer evenings, you can even take advantage of music played each night by a live DJ on the hotel terraces.

“La Bastide will take you to the Château d’Estoublon at the heart of the Alpilles. .”

Getaway to the Château d’Estoublon

For an afternoon or a full day, La Bastide will take you to the Château d’Estoublon at the heart of the Alpilles. Esteemed as one of the finest vineyard estates bearing the “Baux-de-Provence” label, the Château d’Estoublon has perpetuated the tradition of topnotch wines and olive-oils with real passion since 1489. Learn all its secrets about production and enjoy a tasting session on an insider’s tour of the Château and its 494-acre estate. Cultivated as per the rules of organic agriculture, the olive-groves and vines are classed as “Appellations d’Origine Protégée”. You can also treat yourself to lunch at its restaurant, La Table d’Estoublon, with Wim Van Gorp at the helm. Trained in high gastronomy by top-notch chefs such as Alain Ducasse and Joël Robuchon, this Chef born in Antwerp pays tribute to Provençal cuisine, elegantly retweaking its specialities and inspired by produce from the vegetable garden. His “bouillabaisse” (fish stew) infused with ginger is both surprising and delicious! As for dessert, your tastebuds will be captivated by pastries by well-known Chef Christophe  Michalak. Here, time seems to stand still, in the shade of the age-old plane tree in the Château’s courtyard of honour.
